ami was born in iloilo, philippines to her spanish/filipina mother and german/american father. her family left the tropical island paradise of the philippines and relocated to michigan in the festive month of december. ami has been a resident ever since and loves calling michigan home.  her life’s journey has shaped who she is today.

Much of ami’s photography style sense is influenced by her fresh, creative perspective and passion for capturing extraordinary moments. Employing a photojournalistic approach, the result is photos with stunning visual impact, that are natural and unscripted. This dramatic storytelling ensures the moments and memories of each event are forever treasured and preserved.
